Children 30-36 months old that participate in the Early Intervention Program (EI)
Children 24-36 months old (Non-EI)
Cost per class:
Children 30-36 months old- class is included in the Early Intervention Program Family Fee if added to the IFSP
Children 24-36 months old -$13.50 Per Class
Playgroup Schedule:
2 Classes Every Friday AM (9:00-10:15 & 10:30-11:45)
9:00-9:30/10:30-11:00
Arrival and Structured Play Time—staff follow child’s lead as children choose from among the centers set up. Children are encouraged to explore various activities throughout the room.
Emphasis is on encouraging verbal and non-verbal communication, explorative play, pretend play, parallel play and child-child interactive play. Art activities at table happen throughout this time with one:one child and adult working together in adult directed activity. Children are given transitional warnings before moving to the next activity
9:30-9:35/11:00-11:05
Clean up—children are encouraged to assist in putting away toys.
Emphasis is on increased responsibility and working together.
9:35-9:50/11:05-11:20
Snack and Social Conversation—children gather to share food and drink together.
Emphasis is on listening to and following verbal/sung directions and making requests.
9:50-10:05/11:20-11:35
Group Circle Time, Story & Songs—children are invited to select a mat in order to participate in group songs, fingerplays and story.
Emphasis is on following routine, attention to specific directions, personal identification, memory, imitation of words andactions, and participating in a group.
10:05-10:15/11:35-11:45
Free Play—Therapists complete notes for family.
10:15/11:45
Departure—Parents and therapist discuss childs progress.
