Guide :Saws : Ryobi

We have a ryobi rj150v model reciprocating saw (older model) which needs the blade replaced. It had a broken part, which I ordered several years ago. My husband's FINALLY going to replace the blade, but can't remember how it goes back together. We're remodeling and I need my saw -- can someone PLEASE provide me diagrams, or at least instructions, for him? Thanks SO much!! Donna W., Texas

There are 2 types of clamps that hold the blade in that type of saw. Since this is an older one it most likely has the type where the blade is held in place with a set screw and a "U" shaped piece of metal that holds the blade tight against the shaft. There should be a screw hole in the shaft of the saw. The blade rest next to the shaft and then the metal piece clamps the blade against the shaft. This is all held in place by a set screw that screws into the shaft. This screw uses a hex key to remove and tighten it. If your tool doesn't have this style then it should have a twisting clamp. This will rotate and release the blade. Sometimes a pliers is needed to loosen the collar, but not to tight tho.

I think what you are refering to is a circlip washer , and can only be fitted with ( CIRCLIP PLIERS ) do you know any Michanics or Engineers as they are bound to have a set in their toolbox ,on the other hand you can buy them. What they do is work in the opposit way normal pliers do when you squees the handles together the jaws open, therefor opening the (CIRCLIP ) and allowing you to place it over the pin and into the recess. Hope this has been of some hellp goodluck T.C.

I have a General Int'l 10" table saw, model 50-185, about 5 years old. In the last few days I have noticed a loss of power. The first time, I had done a rip cut with the blade tilted at an angle. It made the cut okay, but when I started the saw up to do the next cut, the motor sounded different, the blade started out slow, gradually picked up speed, but not to normal, and the motor slowed significantly with any load, even slowly feeding the wood (soft wood 1X board). I took off the belt guard and noticed that the arbor pulley was loose, and it looked like it had rubbed against the inside of the belt guard. I tightened the set screw, and put the saw blade back to veetical. I let the saw "cool off" for a couple hours, came back and it seen to start up fine. The next day, I made a couple rip cuts, soft wood, then oak, and after three cuts, the saw did the same thing, slowing down, stopping under any kind of load. That's where I'm at. Burned out motor?

Sounds like it but does it have a capacitor (start/run)--what model/type motor is it? and go from there.

I need the screw that hold the blade on the saw. its the model # cs185cf

Fixya does not sell replacement screws. Your saw probably uses a flanged cap screw with a standard thread.
