Reciprocating Saw / Stopped Working (No Response)

Many of my power tools that have stopped working, it has always been the "ON-OFF" switch that has been the proplem. Try blowing out the bugger, but watch that you don't loose some of the contacts. Never had brushes actually wear out, but did have one wire break off the brush.

Saw cuts bevel at 0 degree setting. Needs to set to about 3 degrees for square cut. Multiple saws with this problem. Is something bent, or worn out?

Check that the bed of the saw (the flat metal part on the bottom) isn't bent. I've had this sort of thing happen on a jigsaw that needed to be tapped back into square. Check the squareness of the saw with a framing square or a carpenter's square held against the blade and the bed of the saw with the blade guard open. Obviously, make sure the saw is unplugged before doing this.

On my fathers c10fl table saw the thermal breaker constantly trips, even under light loads. The saw is only 3 years old and has rarely been used. I have it plugged in directly to a 110/120 volt, 20 amp outlet. I haven't checked the brushes nor have I been succesful in locating them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm right in the middle of a big project and I need to get this problem resolved immediatley. Is there anywhere I can find a schematic of the motor? Thanks.

As a Contractor I always bypassed the on board breaker switch cause i found them to be a pain and always trippin. If you are concerned about burning up the motor i would just install an inline breaker like a GFI outlet. Please give a 4 thumbs up if you have found this free answer helpful. Good Luck and have a Great Day.

Reciprocating saw problem

OK just looked at the Searspartsdirect.com website and there are 2 parts that I think it could possibly be. One is the SHOE part # 399725-00 list 4.86 in stock and or guard 157325-00 list 4.59 also in stock. I would suggest that you go to this site and confirm which one you need, but the shoe is the piece that does ride against the work surface. Good Luck and let me know if I can help further
