Grinder question How do I use one?


Use a pencil and straight edge to mark the cutting line on the wood. Place the wood on the saw table and line the mark up with the saw. Place the mark on the right side of the blade to ensure proper cutting. Plug the saw in and put on your safety goggles. Support the wood on the work surface with your left hand, placing it far from the saw blade. Place your right hand on the handle, and push the trigger to start the saw. Move the saw blade down onto the wood. Put constant pressure on the handle to slowly move the blade through the wood. Release the trigger and raise the blade once the cut is complete. Make diagonal cuts in the same manner, by marking the wood and lining the mark up just to the right of the saw blade. Continue as you would for a straight cut. Remove the wood from the saw. Unplug the chop saw and dust the sawdust off. Remove the dust bag from the back and empty it. Vacuum any remaining dust off of the saw.

Hi i need to cut down ( shorten) sewing machine needles for an old industrial overlocker. they are about 10mm too long in the shank, can i use the abrasive disks or better to get the diamond cut off disk ??


I would use the diamond disk and plenty of cutting oil to reduce the chance of loosing the temper in the steel and weeking the needles. Hope this helps. Please leave feedback

It will run with no load, but once force in exerted, the pressure finds the leak and exploits it. There is a reason 2-cycle engines run at 130-160 psi normally.

Craftsman tablesaw model number 315.218050 First let me say this saw is great and I have only great views of this saw. I was running a practice cut to check depth of cut and saw was working fine. Checked the fit of the cut looked great then went to run the final cuts and the saw just would not start. Maybe a 2 min time from the practice cut to wanting to cut the final cuts. It does feel like the switch is not clicking like it use to. I have checked the breakers, have checked the plugs, reset the surge protector, everything is in working order. I even plugged another unit into the outlet and all was working. Could this be a switch problem and if so how do I know which connectors go on top and bottom of switch, one set is clear blue sleeves on connectors and then clear sleeves. Jessie, It sure sounds like the switch has failed. You can replace the original switch with replacement swtich from Sears, or you can just replace it with a light switch from Home Depot. If you go with the light switch, use one with as high a capacity rating (amps) as you can find that will fit. However, if you go with an ordinary light swithch, you will also give up the safety feature or having a "key" for the switch. This is not a good idea if you have kids that might have access to your saw. Regarding the the wire connections, any single-phase switch will have only two terminals (besides the ground). These two terminals are interchangeable - it doesn't matter which of the two wires connect to which of the two terminals. Good luck. Please vote if you found this helpful. Al K

There should be a tilt adjustment on the TOP wheel, this is what adjusts the tracking (centering of the blade) on the wheels. Watch the tension adjustment too, not enough will allow the blade to walk off

8 inch delta band saw that cant keep the band in place in use


The rubber bands on the metal wheels are called tires, and if they are cracked, they may very well be crowned and causing the problem with the band coming off.To test, remove the back guide (as opposed to the side guides) on the top and bottom guide sets (above and below the table.). Put a blade on, and see if it will stay on. If it doesn't, replace the tires. If it does, reinstall the back guides and make sure they do not touch the back of the blade when the saw is running. There should by about 1/32" between the guide and the blade.

Blade Slips Off


My blade was coming off like described above and I just fixed it. The wheels that hold the blade should not wobble on their axles. If they wobble you need to tighten the axle screw on the opposite side from the wheels. The drive wheel is easy, you can see it. The front wheel is more trouble to get to, because the screw is covered by the blade tensioner housing.You will have to remove the front wheel and the tensioner to slide the housing forward to get to the axle screw. You will need various sizes of torque screwdrivers and there is a small snap-ring holding the wheel on the axle. It's simple job and only took me about 20 minutes fiquring it out as I went.Next time I might just drill a hole through the tensioner cover to insert a screw driver. The screws are the same on both the front and rear wheels. But, it's fixed now and works great again.
