I have a Delta platinum edition 3 HP right tilt table saw and when it is in the 0 degree position it is parralell to the fence and miter slots but when i tilt it to 45 degrees the back of the saw blade is out away from the front of the saw bade by almost 3/16 of an inch.My owners manual doesn't offer any solutions
Interesting problem. There are two axis of rotation that need to be at right angles to each other, and they aren't. These are the axis of the saw arbor, and the axis about which the saw tilts. You probably cannot adjust this (which means the misalignment is a manufacturing defect). But it's worth a look to see if you can. Find the axis about which the mechanism rotates as you tilt the blade. If this attachment of this axis is via a bolt which tightens down on a mounting hole, you can increase the size of that hole and adjust the location of the bolt by trial and error. However, if that hole is a bearing surface (and the axis rotates in it) then it would require disassembly, and re-machining on a milling machine to re-locate the hole and put in a larger OD bushing.---- probably not worth the money unless you have your own milling machine.
