Balde movement up and down? If so, that would suggest worn bearings in teh gearbox. If they are worn there then they might also be worn in the motor. If this happens the armature will float up and down causing it to rub against the stator. You may be able to get the bearings sorted without needing any new motr parts. I beleive this saw uses an induction motor so beware if it does need replcing you might want to be sitting down when you get the quote.

When I lower the blade on my table it sticks and then drops?

I have an old Craftsman table saw that had this problem. I read the owners manual for your saw and it suggests cleaning and lubricating the height adjustment screw threads with grease. I found that grease is not a good option with all that sawdust blowing around so after cleaning the threads thoroughly I lubricated them with Dri-Coat. It comes in a spray can and does not attract the sawdust like grease would. This should take care of your problem. Let me know if you need a source for the Dri-Coat spray.

Ridgid TS24000 runs but sounds like ice in a blender. No slack in the bearings and blade spins freely. I removed motor end cap to find the problem and found sparks coming from one of the brushes. Pulled both brushes out, cleaned, and put back in. The brushes looked long enough but the wire between the brush and connecter had some bluing. Still same problem. I ordered new brushes but wondering if that's going to solve the problem.

Spring on brush may be weak not holding it in firm enough On the right track

Replaced armature and brush's and there is alot of heat and spark and it starts slowing down?

Unless somewhat preformed, brushes have a tendency to arc like crazy and can produce heat and even smoke. I would remove the brushes and use a fine 'keyhole' type file to give them a little inside curve so they have better contact to start with.
