Table Saw blade

How do I replace a saw blade on the Makita Table Saw model 2708. I got the old blade disconnected but the housing prevents sliding the blade out. Can anyone help?

Table Saw blade

Did you remove the center plate? It has to come out before you can remove the blade. Also make sure that the saw is unplugged before you go any further. If you still have questions contact me and I will do what I can. Also if you would like you can download a schematic of this tool at just type in your model and look at the schematic. Good luck

My makita 2703 blade movement quirks

Http:// Here are two links for the parts manual and the owners manual. It is not uncommon for a tool to go slightly out of line with use due to vibration and and movement of the arbor. As for the tool not tilting, it just sounds like the worm screw and gear are off line. this is a pretty quick fix but it requires you to turn your saw upside down to access the set screws. I glanced at the diagram and it looks like the handle for the adjustment is held on by a set pin. you will also be able to access this from inside the cabinet.

My blade is not square to the table i,e if I make a 90deg cut, it is about 1/16 wider at the top of the board than it is at the bottom. I've lost my owners manual and was wowndereing holw I go about squaring it up. I have a 10 in Makita dual bevel sliding saw. Thanks

Set your saw square using a combination square if you have one. Then to to adjust the saw to stay square there should be a gold coloured nut that you can adjust on the right side below the lever you use to unlock the saw when setting what angles you want to cut. Either move it in or out to get the proper setting. Hopefully this answers your question.

How do I lock the height adjustment on makita mlt100

You almost answered your own question.. As you've already discovered, the blade will slowly move as you're feeding stock to cut, so you can either locate the missing locking nut/screw, or buy a replacement from the nearest Toolshop.. Or dig out a 50-75mm machine bolt from your junk box & use this as a temporary replacement.. You'll have to check for the correct thread size 1st as they may differ from country, but I'm sure that'll solve the problem for now..

Makita slide compound- Saw Blade. LS0714

It seems as though the original blade was fitted without a spacer. These usually come with any new blade. It is simply a washer (usually aluminium) that fits in the hole of the saw blade and reduces the hole diameter down to the size of the flange on your saw. This is common practice. Never try and centre a blade without the correct size hole to flange size. Very dangerous. These washes are really cheap and can be obtained from most hardware stores. Usually in an assortment of different outside and inside diameters to suit any circumstance. Hope this helps, cheers Bob.

Table Saw Blade Won't Cut Straight

Inside the saw, on the end of the trunnion is a stop that is adjustable to zero the saw in to exactly 90 degrees. Either there is sawdust or something accumulated there or it needs to be adjusted. You say you cleaned it out, So you'll need to unplug it an have a look up in there. See how there's a geared piece of steel that moves when you crank the saw over to 45 degrees. Usually there's a bolt or stud with a locking nut on it, either on the trunnion itself or the lower surface of the table top. You need to break the nut loose and screw the bolt in or out to adjust, then crank the saw over to hit it, check for square with a known square, crank it all the way out of the way and readjust, etc. Until you get it right. Make sure to tighten that lock nut when you're done. I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!
