12" craftsman table saw 0 to 45 deg adjustment gears striped

Sears has a site for parts and owner manuals at www.ManageMyHome.com.It could be something is just loose and out of adjustment so that the teeth were able to slip on the gear. But I've never had a look at one of those to say for sure...oil always helps these things move easier...

I purchased a used Craftsman table saw model 113.298032 without the owner's manual. Where can it get an owner's manual for this saw?

Go to managemyhome.com and in the red header area you will click on manual, on the next page it will ask for the model number and then click on the get manual area. It is 48 pages long if you download the complete manual. If I have helped you with your request would you please vote accordingly. Thank you

I purchased a 10 inch Craftsman radial arm saw

The best source I know of for old craftsman manuals online is here. If you can't find your particular model, you may find one of similar vintage that will have the info you need. You may also be lucky to find something at the sears support site, at www.managemyhome.com. I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

I have purchased a dewalt 718, 12 inch sliding double bevel saw , private sale, saw was only used a couple of times and is in new condition .Checked cutting bevels and found that the left 45 degree does not lock in at true 45 degree, tried adjusting but unable to adjust the latch plate far enough clockwise for the latch to give a true 45 degree. Also when the saw is put in 0 degree there is side to side movement until the bevel lock is set. the problem may be due to the bevel latch,it seems to be sloppy. is it possible the bevel latch is faulty ?

The fence may be getting in the way of the arm when you adjust the trunion assembly fully to one side or the other for bevel cutting. Adjusting the fence all the way out away from the trunion assy. should allow full 45deg adjustment. If this is not the case, it could be--even though its only slightly used--that there is sawdust built up enough in the housing to keep the arm from fully adjusting. While the latch COULD indeed be faulty, it generally should always be tightened/locked so that the trunion assy. is fimly "locked" before cutting as this is designed to keep the saw from shifting mid cut, causing binding, uneven cuts, broken blades, seized bearings, etc.

I have a Delta platinum edition 3 HP right tilt table saw and when it is in the 0 degree position it is parralell to the fence and miter slots but when i tilt it to 45 degrees the back of the saw blade is out away from the front of the saw bade by almost 3/16 of an inch.My owners manual doesn't offer any solutions

Interesting problem. There are two axis of rotation that need to be at right angles to each other, and they aren't. These are the axis of the saw arbor, and the axis about which the saw tilts. You probably cannot adjust this (which means the misalignment is a manufacturing defect). But it's worth a look to see if you can. Find the axis about which the mechanism rotates as you tilt the blade. If this attachment of this axis is via a bolt which tightens down on a mounting hole, you can increase the size of that hole and adjust the location of the bolt by trial and error. However, if that hole is a bearing surface (and the axis rotates in it) then it would require disassembly, and re-machining on a milling machine to re-locate the hole and put in a larger OD bushing.---- probably not worth the money unless you have your own milling machine. Please vote if you found this helpful. Good luck, Al K
