Feeding speed is erratic

My DW735 is 3 month old. Recently happened this problem. It looks the feeding rollers turning smoothly, but actual wood piece moving speed is not constant or does not feed at all even after cleaning the rolleres with alcohol. Is there any adjusting mechanism inside? Or I could sand the rollers surface with sandpaper?

I had a solid bearing wear out on the feed roller and it won't push the board through. I ordered the part and replaced it (it was worn egg shaped) and it works great now. On another subject, I'm getting a lot of chips inside the main housing and I don't know where it;s coming from. I use a dust collector a ready.

Replace brushes , saw will not run - Dewalt DW744S 10" Portable Table Saw with Stand

When you replaced the brushes did you polish them down so that they slid into the holders or did you just push them in Most of these brushes are a bit oversized and tend to stick just as they leave the holder and before they get near to the commutator of the armature. It is worth taking them back out and using a bit of fine sandpaper shave off a little piece of the material on all sides Put the brushes back in and make sure that they slide down the holder and bottom out on the surface of the armature.

If you are mechanically inclined, unplug tool and turn tool on its backside to expose the motor, remove the cover from the end and remove the brushes, then there are 4 screws that are aT25 torx head that holds the motor housing to the diaphragm, you might have to pry it some,I believe the commutator bearing is freezing up but would replace both of them

Runs one or two mintues then borgs down - Dewalt DW744S 10" Portable Table Saw with Stand

Sounds like you may have dirty bearings on the motor or the arbor shaft. When the bearings heat up it causes expansion thus slowing the saw. try to lube the bearings with some penetrating oil, Better yet, get some BelRay chain lube. It will penetrate like WD40 but will firm up like grease give you better lubrication for the bearings.

Cutting 45's on my Dewalt 744

I don't know why it's rubbing, did you try the small one to see if it is different in some way? How about the stop screw, is it 45 degrees or more? Check it with your speed square. And yes, make a custom plate out of plywood. Which way does the blade tilt? Left is best, locking your work against the fence is the worst idea I have ever seen, (delta) It sounds like the big plate is for a dado blade.

I have a Dewalt model 7730 radial arm saw. When the on button is pushed the motor starts off real slow as if it is under a bind or load but after a few seconds it picks up speed and seems to turn at full speed. What is the most likly cause and best course of action. THANKS Jim Adams

Most probably it is bit of timber on the bottom of the saw assembly...1. switch off the saw2. remove power plug3. remove screw and clear protector assembly4. remove centre panel (as to changing the blade)5. remove blade and clean dust furrow below it from all debris6. re-assemble in reverse order7. mount safety protector assembly7, connect power cord8. start in shor burst and switch immediatelly off, after blade stop spinning, check blade assembly if not wobbly.this should solve your problem.if you find this advice useful, please do not hesitate to leave comment and give me your vote4 fo rme, thanx!
