Grinder only works when screws are loose on the head

My grinder stoped working. Tried to get inside to clean it up. Found that when I loosen the top screws and seperate the head from the body a little it works fine, but when I tighten the screws back it stops working. I cant seem to get inside to see what the problem is.

I have a Bosch 1375A that I use for many diffrent small work at home. Today I was cutting ceramic with a diamond head wheel. Something I am used to do. After a cut, the grinder didn't want to power-on again. I cleaned it up with air can. Still doesn't want to start. Is there any fuse or reset on this type of equipment ?

Check the fuze in the plug Check the wall socket is working Remove the motor bushings and check them for wear - motor busining should be behind plastic screws located on either side of the motor. If there is/was a smell of burining out of the motor you may have blown it. This is usually caused by holding the air vents when using it. Also when you try to turn it on does it make any noise at all? even a quiet buzz sound?

I have a D28110 grinder and it started making a loud noise (not the regular noise) and got very hot at the front where the gears are. I removed the gears cover and tried to get the shaft out of the casing but I do not know how to get it out. I tried un-screwing counter clokwise but didn't work, I tried tapping it out but it does not move. How is this part dismantled? Please.

You have to pull the brushes back there should be screw caps on the back (cord end) remove them and take out the brushes if the gears are ok and there is grease in ther then it will be the brushes or the bushing on the back good luck

How do I remove the cover of the black and decker angle grinder. It stopped working,I think a wire is loose inside, but i cannot get it open to see if I am right. Can anyone help? Thanks. Gerry

Hi Gerry,The body of the grinder should be in two halves. Normally there are two or more screws holding the plastic parts together but these may be hidden behind plastic stoppers. See diagram: the screws and it should be possible to split the case.Hope this helps!

Fault on a Kinzo 115mm Angle Grinder

Hi J,Hopefully you just wore out the brushes. Replacement kits are available for a few bucks and the fix is pretty easy.On the darker side, If it overheated enough that it burned the windings (insulation melts, shorts, badness), there isn't much you can do unless it's still under warranty. You won't know until you get it apart. You'll know which it is at a glance.Unplug it and dismantle the base of the grip where the cord is attached. The brushes are small spring loaded graphite blocks that transfer electricity to what looks like a cylinder around the central drive shaft that has a lot of vertical copper strips on it. They are normally housed inside small copper tubes opposite each other. If those tubes are empty but for the spring, it's brushes. If the insides are full of ashy residue, it's not the brushesBest regards and I hope it it's the brushesMike
