I'd like to know how to replace the extension cord on my DeWalt 12" sliding compound miter saw. Also the wing nut on the back cannot be tightened enough so that when cutting crown at odd bevels, the saw falls down to 45 degrees.
Rempve the lead from the wall socket.
To replace the lead on an tool, open the cover where the cord enters the tool and undo the cable clamp. Undo the cables where they attach to the tool switch and the earth etc., taking note of the colour coding of the wires. Transfer the rubber cable protector, if you can remove it, to the new cable and fit the new wire in the same position and colour connections as the old one, refit the clamp and replace the cover.
Place a thick washer the size of the bolt under the wing nut that locks your angle adjustment. This should take up the slack and allow you to tighten the wing nut. Read More At : Dewalt...
