Uncle Vic says " If you want your 16" --3 wheel Delta saw { Cat # 28-560} to work, you must have patience. It's old and has a bad reputation. They don't make it any more, and haven't in many years. The 2 wheel saws are better, but you don't have one; right? If you want production from this saw, forget it. It must be coddled. If you haven't patience, just sell it quick and buy a better one. I'm old and the saw and I can produce some good work if you are patient with us. Here's what I did. I replaced the rubber drive-wheel covers- Lubricated all bearings-installed new blade guide blocks and CAREFULLY adjusted everything to it's centered position. You cannot " Horse" this saw. If you are careful, you can get it to cut whatever you have the proper blades for. The cut radius is limited to the blade installed. Good luck

Chances are you might be trying to feed the wood to fast or your speed is set wrong or the blades are not right for the job.

Proper blade tension to speed tips

If you are like most people, (from your description you probably are), you might be feeding too fast. I did the same thing, and many other people I know did also. I learned by trial and error, and using scrap, watched from the side as I fed. Sure enough, when that little blade bent just a little too far...SNAP. It is much slower sawing than I imagined, even with the coarsest blade. I learned the best and broke the fewest with spiral blades. I always set the tension by sound. Again, trial and error. Take your sweet time! Have fun!!

I have a 12" Sears - Craftsman - Band Saw and the blade keeps coming off. How do I install a new blade and keep it on?

Two potential issues here:a.) You probably need to align your bandsaw wheels. Here's a link to a craftsman 12" bandsaw manual. Assuming you have model 113243310, 113243311, 113243300, or a similar model, read over page 12-14 "Installing the blade". Specifically, look at section 10 about adjusting the tracking.Having the blade guides set properly is important too. A thrust bearing (the one up top, behind the blade) that's set too far forward can push the blade off the wheels too.b.) If it's flat out too loose and you can't get it tight, the blade might be too long. It's worth double checking your manual to confirm you are supposed to be using an 80" blade and double checking the blade package to make sure you actually have an 80" blade.

Jig saw the blades on my jig saw keep falling out,i have tightend them on the on the machine that has a screw to keep in place, with the other being spring loaded to hold the blade in position, but the both of them spit the blade out when i try to cut any thing can you tell me why, thanks.

On the spring loaded one a metal pin will fit through a hole in the black to keep it in place. Ensure your blade is not broken and has a hole for the pin to go through.
