Uncle Vic says " If you want your 16" --3 wheel Delta saw { Cat # 28-560} to work, you must have patience. It's old and has a bad reputation. They don't make it any more, and haven't in many years. The 2 wheel saws are better, but you don't have one; right? If you want production from this saw, forget it. It must be coddled. If you haven't patience, just sell it quick and buy a better one. I'm old and the saw and I can produce some good work if you are patient with us. Here's what I did. I replaced the rubber drive-wheel covers- Lubricated all bearings-installed new blade guide blocks and CAREFULLY adjusted everything to it's centered position. You cannot " Horse" this saw. If you are careful, you can get it to cut whatever you have the proper blades for. The cut radius is limited to the blade installed. Good luck

Dewalt Scroll saw. Suddenly I can barely get a piece of 2 inch stock (actual 1 1/2) under the hold down.


I know this sounds patronizing, but have you cleaned it and made sure no wood shavings are clogging anything up. Also my husband sharpens his teeth with a special little file, I am talking about his chainsaw but its still a saw, one more thing, does it need oil? I hope something helps if not, sorry I am only trying to offer solutions!
