Suggested Questions And Answer :

My blade is not square to the table i,e if I make a 90deg cut, it is about 1/16 wider at the top of the board than it is at the bottom. I've lost my owners manual and was wowndereing holw I go about squaring it up. I have a 10 in Makita dual bevel sliding saw. Thanks

Set your saw square using a combination square if you have one. Then to to adjust the saw to stay square there should be a gold coloured nut that you can adjust on the right side below the lever you use to unlock the saw when setting what angles you want to cut. Either move it in or out to get the proper setting. Hopefully this answers your question.

I have a Malita dual sliding compound miter saw LS1016LX. Trigger will not start saw after 5-10 cuts. When saw sits for 30 minutes, it runs again.

I'd contact a Makita dealer. I've had this saw for years without a single misfire on the trigger. Could be heat related, but that's a stretch. Here's their contact information: Makita Contact Us

Just read thru most of the user manual and they do not address this situation. Most major adjustments they list as Service Center meaning they might have to completely disassemble and find out hy this saw is not accurate, wish I had better news.

Is there a way to adjust the set pin to get a true 90 degree bevel?

Set the blade at the built in 90 degree lock, now use a square and adjust the fence (usually two bolts visible on top of the fence) to the blade at 90 degrees....there are some shops which offer this service under a "tune-up" or calibration.

My saw wont bevel cut easily...It will go to one side just fine....but the other side sticks and its really hard to move...I tried using some wd 40 and it helped a little but its still hard to do.

OK you are on the right track, I would remove the handle assembly on the back and push the travel as far back as possible to look at the bolt for stripped threads. then what I would do is use some dry lubricant and spray the washer and the housing and let dry, after drying reassembly tightening the nut enough to hold in place and reposition the handle. then try again, it could also be messes up in the circular area but for that I would recommend taking to a repair center.
